The 10/66 Dementia Research Group Population-Based Cohort Study investigates the lives of older people in 8 study sites in low and middle-income countries with the aim of providing evidence for policy development and reform. In 2004, 10/66 Dominican Republic recruited participants aged at least 65 years old, from Santo Domingo, the Capital city of the Dominican Republic. Over 2,000 adults participated in the baseline data collection sweep between 2004 and 2005. Participants were followed up between 2009 and 2010 and again between 2015 and 2016.
