10/66 Dominican Republic recruited participants from Santo Domingo, the Capital city of the Dominican Republic. Participants were at least 65 years old and able to give informed consent. This resulted in a baseline cohort of over 2,000 participants of varying socioeconomic, educational, marital and occupational backgrounds.
