Sample details

10/66 Mexico recruited participants from two locales: a rural location in Morelos State in south-central Mexico and urban Mexico City. Participants were at least 65 years old and able to give informed consent. This resulted in a baseline cohort of over 2,000 participants of varying socioeconomic, educational, marital, and occupational backgrounds. Approximately half of the sample came from the rural locale and half from the urban locale.
