1994 Ribeirao Preto (Brazil) birth cohort

This birth cohort represents the second of three Ribeirão Preto birth cohorts and includes 2,911 children from mothers residing in the municipality in Brazil. During follow-ups in 2004 and 2005, 869 children aged 9 to 11 years were evaluated, including those with low or high birth weights and a selection of normal-weight children. In 2016, 622 participants from the original cohort were assessed at 22 years old, and an additional 419 participants born in 1994 were included, with a retrospective component applied to some questions from the birth questionnaire.
