The KHPS conducts research on multiple levels of and interactions between individual, social, and environmental elements with considerations for the dynamic, complex, and circular structures of healthcare expenditures. The sample includes 90% of the 2005 Population and Housing Census of South Korea to maintain representativeness in the panel. The initial wave of the KHPS study included approximately 8,000 households across South Korea and their family members residing together, resulting in over 24,000 participants. An additional sample was added in 2012 based on the 2010 Population and Housing Census 90% Complete Data to maintain representativeness of the panel.
