Sample details

2000HIV was designed to investigate the links between Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and common non-Autoimmune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS)-related diseases. The study recruited adults aged at least 18 years who were positive for HIV and on anti-retroviral therapy for at least six months before the beginning of the study from one of the following HIV treatment centres in the Netherlands: Radboudumc (Nijmegen), ErasmusMC (Rotterdam), Onze Lieve Vrouwe Gasthuis (Amsterdam), or Elisabeth-TweeSteden Ziekenhuis (Tilburg). Over 1,900 participants were interviewed at baseline in 2019 and followed up two years later.
