The 2EPs Project aimed to identify and characterise the factors that predict a psychosis relapse within the years immediately following a first episode. Participants were Spanish patients with a diagnosis of schizophrenia or schizophreniform disorder, aged between 16 and 40 years at baseline, in remission after a first psychotic episode of schizophrenia. Between 2012 and 2015, the study recruited over 200 patients from 15 clinical centres in Spain, approximately 60 of whom experienced a relapse. Participants were followed up for three years or until relapse, whichever occurred first, with visits every three months. The project also included multiple sub-studies.
