The 4RTNI was a longitudinal observational neuroimaging study involving approximately 322 participants from the United States. Participants were recruited between 2011 and 2024 through various academic medical centres, including the University of California San Francisco UCSF, Johns Hopkins University, and the Mayo Clinic. The cohort includes individuals diagnosed with corticobasal syndrome (CBS), corticobasal degeneration (CBD), progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP), and healthy volunteers aged between 40 and 80 years. Additional participants were recruited in a subsequent second cycle in 2016 to include more diverse clinical presentations. Participants underwent follow-up assessments every 6 to 12 months.
