The 60YO study aims to identify novel risk factors and biomarkers for cardiovascular disease. Participants were around 2,000 men and 2,100 women who lived in Stockholm County, Sweden, and were born in 1937 or 1938. Participants underwent baseline assessment, including physical assessment, blood collection and questionnaires, from 1997 to 1998. They have been followed up with linked data, including healthcare, mortality and environmental data.
