A 7-Year Follow-Up Study on the Mental Health of North Korean Defectors in South Korea

This 7-year follow-up study aimed to describe the relationship between past trauma and current stress on the mental health of North Korean defectors living in South Korea. The study recruited 200 North Korean defectors in South Korea who were aged 15 to 65 years and living in the Seoul metropolitan area. Participants completed baseline data collection in 2001 and were followed up 7 years after baseline.
