ACT NMDS is a registry that contains information about all diagnoses of over 70 infectious diseases and conditions in the Australian Capital Territory, a territory in Australia, between 2000 and 2023. For a diagnosis to be entered into the ACT NMDS, a patient must seek medical help, receive a diagnosis, and undergo laboratory testing to confirm the diagnosis. Between 2000 and 2023, the ACT NMDS included over 350,000 records of infectious disease diagnoses. The ACT NMDS shares data with the National Notifiable Diseases Surveillance System (NNDSS), which collates data from all of Australia.
