The ActiFE Ulm study aimed to investigate the relationship between physical activity and the incidence of falls in older adults and the elderly. Between 2009 and 2010, the study recruited over 1,200 adults aged 65 to 90 years from the city of Ulm and its surrounding areas in Germany. Participants were visited three times during the first week after recruitment. They were then followed up on every 3 months for one year.
