All of Us is a research program that aims to follow the health and outcomes of over one million participants residing in a state or territory of the United States of America, including populations that have historically been underrepresented in biomedical research. Between inception in 2018 and as of 2024, the database of the research program has enrolled more than 800,000 individuals from all 50 states and 3 territories; since 2023, the age criteria expanded from 18 years to also include children. Of the participants who have completed all of the steps of the initial protocol, more than 75% are from underrepresented populations, including around 50% from racial and ethnic minority groups.
