Sample details

The Amsterdam Dementia Cohort was established in 2000, along with the foundation of the VU University Medical Center (VUmc) Alzheimer Center in the Netherlands. All patients that visit the Alzheimer Center are asked to consent to the use of their clinical data for scientific purposes. This population of patients comprises the Amsterdam Dementia Cohort, which consisted of almost 8,000 patients as of the 1st of January, 2021. After a baseline visit, the majority of patients visit the clinic annually for follow-up.
