An Observational Study on the Natural Course of Chronic Pancreatitis

This study aims to explore the impact of genetic and environmental factors on the manifestation and progression of chronic pancreatitis (CP). Between 2010 and 2014, the study recruited people of all ages diagnosed with CP at Shanghai Changhai Hospital, China. The study includes almost 800 participants, who have been followed up annually since recruitment and will continue to be followed up until a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer, pancreas removal, death or the end of the study.
