Sample details

The ANTR follows twins and parents, siblings, spouses, and offspring of twins from the Netherlands. The first members of the sample were originally adolescent and young adult twins who were recruited in 1991-1993 through city council offices. The register expanded over time to include more twins and family members, and currently consists of 33,957 individuals. Of those, over 8,000 were previously in the related Young NTR (YNTR) and over 1,600 have dual roles across ANTR and YNTR.
