Sample details

The AOF cohort began in 2008 with the recruitment of 3,200 Alberta, Canada mother-baby pairs. Mothers were recruited before they were 25-weeks of gestation, between the ages of 19 to 47 years, and were eligible if they were undergoing prenatal care for a singleton pregnancy in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. In 2016, the study name changed from All Our Babies (AOB) to All Our Families (AOF). Since recruitment, participants have completed two questionnaires during pregnancy (24 and 36 weeks) and when the children were 4 months, 1, 2, 3, 5, and 8 years of age.
