The APEG dataset contains information on young people with insulin-treated diabetes aged under the age of 15 years at the time of diagnosis in Australia. As insulin-treated type 2 diabetes is rare in children under 15 years old, most of the children and adolescents listed on the APEG dataset have type 1 diabetes. APEG data is combined with other health registries to create the National (insulin-treated) Diabetes Register (NDR). Data includes linked healthcare and mortality data. Data was collected from 1999 to 2022.
