The BACH survey was designed to provide population-based prevalence data on urological conditions and concomitant risk factors in Hispanic, African American, and Caucasian men and women aged 30 to 79 years. Over 5,500 participants were recruited from throughout the city of Boston, United States, and a balance across the three race and ethnic groups was achieved. Two follow-up surveys for BACH have been completed (BACH II in 2008, and BACH III in 2010).
