The Bangladesh Rural Microcredit Survey investigates the long-term effects of microcredit programs on rural households in Bangladesh, involving almost 1,800 households recruited from 87 villages across 29 thanas. Participants were randomly selected from 1991 to 1992 from villages with 51 to 600 households. The households were followed up once, approximately seven years later, from 1998 to 1999.
