Beijing Longitudinal Study of Aging (BLSA)

The BLSA was designed to investigate the risk factors for common non-communicable diseases of Chinese people aged 55 years and older. Participants were over 7,000 older adults from three areas of Beijing in China, including urban, suburban and farming areas. Baseline data collection began in 1992, and participants were followed up 11 times until 2017, including surveys and physical examinations.
