Beijing Twin Study (BeTwiSt)

BeTwiSt, established in 2006, is an ongoing study aiming to investigate the genetic and environmental etiology of adolescent psychopathology. The study has a representative sample of adolescent twins in Beijing, China (N = 1,387 pairs of adolescent twins). Participants were recruited based on a large, representative twin sample from over 600 public schools in Beijing, China. As of August 2019, the study has completed three waves of data collection: T0 for a pilot survey, T1 for a comprehensive survey, and T2 for a follow-up survey, each approximately 1.5 years apart.
