Beijing Health Management Cohort Study (BHMC)

The BHMC aims to understand the current status and development trends of chronic diseases and health conditions among adults in Beijing, China and to conduct in-depth research on the causes, epidemic patterns and trends of various major chronic diseases that endanger adults in Beijing. Participants are recruited from study sites in three districts of Beijing. Participants are 18 years of age or older and have resided in the local area for at least one year. Around 240,000 participants completed a baseline assessment and are followed up every two to three years. According to the earliest available publication, data is available from 2006 onwards.
