Sample details

Born in Bradford Age of Wonder is a seven-year research programme exploring the contemporary lived experience amongst multi-ethnic adolescents progressing into young adulthood in the city of Bradford, England. The programme has recruited students in year groups 8, 9 and 10 (aged 12-15 years) each academic year since 2022-23 from consenting secondary schools in the Bradford district, with over 4,900 students taking part during the first academic year. Longitudinal data is therefore collected for students progressing through the relevant year groups at participating schools. The programme includes some members of the original Born In Bradford (BiB) cohort, alongside newly recruited non-BiB children from these year groups. Subsequent data has been collected from students during the 2023-24, 2024-25, and 2025-26 academic years.
