The BioCor Biobank is a resource aiming to enhance the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cardiovascular diseases through collecting data of individuals affected by the conditions, alongside healthy individuals. Participants were recruited from 2019 through those visiting the hospital, with 4,054 participants biosamples collected as of 2023. Additionally, the biobank contains a sub-cohort of 7,000 individuals recruited in 2020 to assess the cardiovascular effects of COVID-19, using stored biosamples from participants at the time of infection.
