BioFINDER One was designed to investigate the etiologies of Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and related disorders. The study sample includes elderly people fluent in Swedish with mild cognitive impairment from two memory clinics in southern Sweden, as well as cognitively healthy elderly people fluent in Swedish from the Malmö Diet and Cancer Study. This resulted in a baseline cohort of over 1,100 participants aged between 60 and 80 years.
