BK REGISTRY aims to investigate the impact of carotid intima-media thickness and carotid plaque on the prognosis of coronary artery disease patients. Between January 2000 and June 2007, the registry enrolled patients who underwent coronary angiographhy and carotid artery scanning at Konyang university Hospital in Daejon, South Korea. Over 1,700 patients were enrolled in the registry. Demographic, clinical and angigraphic baseline data collection occured in person and the participants have been followed up for at least 2 years through phone calls and routinely collected data.
