The Block and Block Longitudinal Study examined personality and cognitive development from childhood to early adulthood in a sample of 128 children. The participants were recruited in 1969 from two preschools in Berkely, United States of America. Of the sample, 50% were female. The cohort was followed up 6 times before they were 18, and then again at age 18, 23, and 32. The study concluded in 1999.
