The Braintime study aims to combine different MRI modalities, hormone data, behavioural experiments, and questionnaires to investigate behavioural and neural changes from childhood to adolescence. Participants aged 8 to 25 years at baseline assessment were recruited through local schools and advertisements in the area surrounding Leiden University in the Netherlands. The first wave of data collection occurred from 2011 to 2012, with subsequent waves occurring in 2013-2014, 2015-2016, 2016, 2022, and 2023.
