The Bruneck Study is a prospective community-based study of over 900 inhabitants in the Italian town of Bruneck. The study was launched in summer 1990, with an age- and sex-stratified sample of participants selected for inclusion from the official population register using a computer-based random number generator. Further recruitment commenced in 2015 to extend inclusion to all Bruneck inhabitants aged 65 and over.
