Sample details

The CARTaGENE study consists of both a population-based biobank, and a prospective health study of over 20,000 adults aged between 40 and 69 at recruitment in Québec, Canada. The study was designed to be representative of metropolitan areas to facilitate translation into health promoting policies and interventions. Participants were randomly selected from health insurance registries, with information packages subsequently sent by mail and enrolment conducted over telephone calls.
