Children referred by practitioners working in educational or clinical services attended the Centre for Attention Learning and Memory (CALM), a research clinic at the Medical Research Council (MCR) Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit, University of Cambridge. The centre then recruited two groups of children aged 5 to 18 for the current study. The first group (referred to as the CALM group) were the children referred to the centre via health and education practitioners with problems in areas of attention, learning, and/or memory. The second group of children was a school-matched group who are developing typically.
