The CAST study aimed to understand the cognitive outcomes and recovery patterns in first-time stroke patients by examining various cognitive and health factors. Beginning in 2007, the study included 208 participants from Norway, who were first-time stroke patients. Participants were followed up 1 year and 7 years after baseline, with 109 patients completing the follow-up.
