The CATSS is a longitudinal twin study investigating genetic and environmental factors affecting health, behaviour, somatic, and mental health problems in twins during childhood and adolescence. The study is part of the Swedish Twin Registry, which was established in the 1960s and contains information on approximately 87,000 twin pairs born in Sweden since 1886. The CATSS recruits all twins born in Sweden since July 1, 1992, and surveys them at 9, 12, 15, 18, and 24 years of age.
