CEDHA compares racial disparities in ageing and health outcomes between adults with and without Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). The study recruited adults aged fifty and over who were either HIV-positive or HIV-negative and self-identified as African America or White. Eligible adults had no illicit drug use in the three months prior to baseline data collection, and no prior stroke or other neuro-degenerative conditions. At baseline over 177 adults with HIV and 190 adults without HIV were enrolled in the study. Data has been collected annually on participants since baseline.
