The COPE study aims to reduce the frequency of hospital and general practice visits by patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). 130 patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) were recruited from the Greater London area in the United Kingdom between May 2015 and October 2017 through general practices and the Clinical Practice Research Datalink (CPRD). Participants were followed up daily for up to six months, using diary cards and portable monitors to record respiratory symptoms and environmental exposures.
