The CIDACS birth cohort is comprised of over 24 million children born alive in Brazil between 2001 and 2015. The CIDACS Birth Cohort is housed at the Centre of Data and Knowledge Integration for Health (CIDACS), a unit of the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation in Bahia, Brazil. The participants were recruited using linked administrative records from Sistema de Informação sobre Nascidos Vivos (SINASC) Brazil's national live birth database. Participants are from varied socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds.
