The principal aim of CNODES is to use collaborative, population-based approaches to obtain rapid answers to questions about drug safety and effectiveness in Canada. CNODES is a distributed network of investigators and linked databases in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, and Nova Scotia. As of 2012, the study populations totalled over 40 million patients.
