This study aimed to analyse the impact of climate shocks on household well-being, children's health, and economic mobility. It included 1,768 households from the provinces of Zavkhan, Govi-Altai, and Uvs in western Mongolia. Households were recruited in 2012 using a multi-stage sampling design based on the 2010 Population and Housing Census to ensure population representativeness in these regions. Households were followed up every 12 months over 3 years, with data collection waves in 2012, 2013, and 2014.
