Sample details

The COPE study is one of the largest and most in-depth social science studies of the COVID-19 pandemic in the United Kingdom, capturing the experiences of over 11,000 participants. In March 2020, 10 days before the introduction of the first national COVID-19 lockdown, the study recruited adults aged 18 years or older from across the United Kingdom. Baseline data collection took place between March and April 2020. Subsequently, participants were followed up via surveys and in-depth interviews at 3, 12, 18 and 24 months.
