Sample details

The CV19 Heroes Project was established in March 2020 to track the well-being of frontline workers in the United Kingdom and Ireland during the COVID-19 pandemic. A cohort of 1,305 participants aged 18 or over, working in a range of frontline sectors (health and social care; supply chain; other emergency services; or other frontline key workers), was recruited from March to May 2020 via online advertising. At wave 2, six months into the study (October 2020), an additional 395 frontline workers were recruited to increase occupational and racial diversity within the baseline cohort. The cohort has been followed up at 6, 12, and 18 months, and then at 2, 3, and 5 Years.
