Sample details

The CVFS is a comprehensive family panel study of individuals, households, and communities in the Chitwan Valley of Nepal. The study investigates family change by following entire families, regardless of migration out of the Chitwan Valley. At baseline data collection in 1995 and 1996, the study included 1,805 households with over 9,800 household members. Over 5,200 household members were aged between 15 and 59 years and were included in the study as individual participants.
