NCDS is a multidisciplinary national longitudinal birth cohort study following over 17,000 people born in the same week in 1958 in England, Scotland, and Wales. In the first three sweeps of the study (at ages 7, 11 and 16), the target sample was supplemented to include people who migrated to Britain and were born in the same week in 1958.
