Sample details

DANLIFE is a register-based cohort investigating exposure to childhood adversity in all children born in Denmark since 1980 to mothers with a Civil Personal Registration (CPR) number. As of 2015, the cohort totals more than 2 million individuals who have been followed from birth. The CPR number is used to track participants through the linkage of national administrative, clinical, and health research registries in Denmark. Participants are also tracked using other non-register-based cohort studies based in Denmark.
