Sample details

The DARC cohort aimed to investigate the prevalence of atopic diseases, the pattern of sensitisation, and comorbidities until 14 years of age. Participants were 560 children born at full term from 1998 to 1999 at Odense University Hospital in Denmark. Baseline evaluation was during the participant’s first month of life, and follow-up investigations were performed at 3, 6, 12, 18 months and 3, 6, and 14 years of age. All visits included questionnaire-based interviews, clinical examination, and specific IgE measurements.
