Sample details

This study aimed to examine early social and emotional development in toddlers who have a high genetic risk of developing autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and compare them to toddlers with a typically developing older sibling. The study recruited approximately 80 high-risk infants with an older sibling diagnosed with ASD, and 90 low-risk infants had typically-developing older siblings and no history of ASD in first- or second-degree relatives. Participants were assessed at 22, 28, and 34 months.
