ECHO MN is a study site of the ECHO Cycle 2, a cohort study that began in 2023 and will run through 2030 that aims to understand how environmental factors impact a child's health. ECHO MN is focused on creating a predominantly Asian pregnancy cohort, which will increase the representation of diverse Asian experiences and reflect the United States of America's heterogeneous Asian American population. The study aims to recruit 780 pregnant women and their children from the three largest healthcare systems in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area, United States of America. Participation in ECHO MN consists of two prenatal study visits and up to eight visits after the child is born up until six years old.
