The EFRCV-RM aimed to quantify the prevalence of different cardiovascular risk factors in the general adult population of the Region of Murcia, southeast Spain. From 1991 to 1993, the study recruited and assessed a representative sample of over 3,000 individuals aged 18 to 65 years. Retrospective data were collected between 2005 and 2006, encompassing the 13 years following the baseline data collection.
