Almost 2,500 children aged 3 to 5 years comprised the study population at the first wave, in 2017. Approximately 48% of the children were girls. The study followed the children for three years during their early education, and as of 2024, is following the children for phase 2, which focuses on their primary education. The participants were recruited from schools within the area of Galicia, Spain.
