Sample details

The EMAS aims to examine the impact of reproductive/anabolic hormones on age-related declines in physical, psychological and sexual functioning and quality of life in middle-aged and older European men. Between 2003 and 2005, the study recruited and assessed over 3,300 men, aged 40 to 79 years, from Italy, Belgium, Poland, Sweden, Spain, Hungary, and Estonia. An interim survey was conducted in 2006, and a follow-up survey was conducted from 2008 to 2010.
