Sample details

The ENDIS survey, conducted since 2013, focuses on childhood development, nutrition, health rights, and education access, with national representativeness in Uruguay. The study has three cohorts, the first began in 2013 with a sample of children between 0 and 3 years, the second and third started in 2018 and 2023 respectively, and they sample children aged 0 to 4 years. Participants were identified by the National Statistics Institute through home visits in localities with 5,000 or more inhabitants and by a group of consultants through home visits in localities with less than 5,000 inhabitants. Participants were also identified through the Continuous Household Survey and birth records.
